It's not cheating to post and link to old stuff, not evidence of laziness or lack of effort. This fits perfectly with the theme trotted out in the last post.

Here we have an essential part of the oeuvre -- that is to say my own self and methodology; my moves, if you will. As important as the stories, you've got to see the work, such as it is. That is to say, old and dusty stuff unworthy of laurels to rest on. Nonetheless, this too you'd get. So here it is, again. Take a look at some of my old stuff. Kind of like showing you my etchings, though I don't technically have any of those (do cartoons count? those I've got and will probably scan in).

This one's not much more than an extended gag. A long greeting card. (There's a treasure-trove of anecdotal tedium. Ah, we have a long time together I hope.) It is funny, there's that.

A Point, a Purpose, a Perfectly Pointless Purpose

A new song added along with a new feature; lyrics.

Because what you really want to do is sing along, right?

This new addition has actually been performed. I am not a performer. My two experiences singing original stuff at the press skits have been frightening and exhilarating in equal measure.

One reason it made me anxious is that I cannot remember lyrics: not pop songs on the radio, not goofing around the house tabbing along to a Lyle Lovett song, not playing my own songs. So this Bob Allen song was great for that. The delayed-rhyme scheme automatically set me up for the next stanza with the opening word. With that, I was off to town.

If you are not familiar with the Bob Allen saga, a good summary is here and here.
