SJPC (again)

I do hereby declare, in the absence of evidence to the contrary, myself as the world’s foremost authority on St. Joe Paper Company land survey monuments.

There. I’ve said it.

020920 Wakulla Shadeville

Last weekend marked discovery of the 24th example of these triangular, yard-tall section markers incised with four letters – the defining, lovely sans serif S, J, P, and C – and topped with a metal survey disc sunk in the concrete of the monument.

And today, another. It’s the in-plain-sight second of a pair abutting the Galilee Primitive Baptist Church in Leon County on Capitola Road, right where Chaires Road runs into it.

Of course, as the planet’s top expert on all things SJPC, I have a video to share and a multimedia experience to call to your attention. If you browse the web on Google Chrome, you can also take the tour featured on the video at your own pace. Navigate here and check it out. It can be no surprise there are earlier posts here and here on this very topic, on which, remember, I am the globe’s acknowledged expert.

I’ve had reports of monuments I have not yet captured. I will track them down and make them my own.
