This year’s father-son tandem adventure is under way, following the Great River Road along the Mississippi from St. Paul to Dubuque through Wisconsin and Minnesota.

The first installment of Tracer Bullitt noir travelogue videos is making its world premiere. Avery is particularly pleased with the soundtrack featuring a Creative Commons-licensed song from one of his recent faves: Diablo Swing Orchestra. The name is quite accurately descriptive of the metal swing music performed by classically trained (they’re always classically trained) Swedes who speak Latin, Italian, English, and, presumably, Swedish.

I must say, quite immodestly, this initial episode is inspired. We must work hard to maintain this standard through the next week and 325 miles back to hilly Dubuque.
